Incredibly honored

A few months ago, a great guy named Rob Stewart reached out to me about the Sami's Circuit program. After our conversation, I was contacted again a while later by Rob, asking if I'd be interested in being on his PBS show "Rob on the Road", as a feature in the "Heroes & Helping Hands" series. I was humbled and amazed at this honor, and soon Rob and his amazing 1-man-video-and-photo-guru were at one of my school visits, filming and interviewing me and the kids. You may not guess that I actually get pretty nervous about interviews and being on TV. Despite being up on stage in front of hundreds of kids and adults on a daily basis, there's something different when it's just a one-on-one interview. I was worried whether the show taping would turn out well or not.

Well, thanks to the talented staff at KVIE, the episode was incredible....beyond words, really. The stories featured (there are 3 others besides mine) were all awe-inspiring and made me realize I could be doing even more in my community.

Rob himself is one of the most genuine, kindest souls I've ever had the pleasure of meeting, and I can't thank him enough for choosing me to be recognized on his show.
